You will find many activities for the whole family during all four seasons including biking, horseback riding, hiking, ATVing, bird watching, golfing, picnicking, camping, ice-skating, skiing, tubing, hunting, or simply relaxing and breathing the fresh mountain air. Enjoy the village shops, cafes, and friendly people. Also watch for wild life in the Lincoln National Forest; there are plenty of deer and elk. Located just a short driving distance away are other points of interest like White Sands National Monument, Sunspot National Solar Observatory, Ruidoso and Sierra Blanca, and the Space History and Hall of Fame Museum in Alamogordo.
